When I first posted this stitch pattern I had no idea that people would love it so much. I saw a knit stitch and thought ” I could replicate that in tunisian crochet. The funny thing about it was that I don’t use a cable needle. I just let the stitches float in the air until I pick them back up. That totally freaked people out.
For this tutorial I used a needle, just to show how it can be done. If the needle gets in your way, ditch it. I did. I first made this sample starting with 22 stitches. Perfect for a thinner scarf, but too wide for an ear warmer. I reduced it to 16 stitches and it’s the perfect width. The pattern is a 12 stitch cable or 12 + 4 multiple. I was living in fear of actually posting a full length video to YouTube. I don’t know why. I’m happy to say that it’s done! It’s not perfect, but then again nothing is. So enjoy the tutorial. I just ask that you show me what you make of it!
